Calgary Flames sign goaltender Henrik Karlsson to a one-year contract

Calgary Flames general manager Darryl Sutter announced Tuesday the signing of goaltender Henrik Karlsson to a one-year contract.

Karlsson, a native of Sweden, has spent the last six seasons playing in the Swedish Elite League, the past two seasons with Sodertajlje and Farjestad respectively.

The 26-year old was originally signed as a free agent by the San Jose Sharks on September 28, 2009.
