The New Jersey Devils will be without their number one goaltender Martin Brodeur for 7-10 days.

The team announced on Wednesday that Brodeur would be out rehabbing his injured right shoulder but will not need surgery.

He injured the shoulder while diving to make a save in the first period of the Devils' 2-1 shootout win over the Los Angeles Kings last Thursday.

Johan Hedberg replaced Brodeur for the final two periods of that game and also started on Saturday in Nashville.
