Forward Nick Foligno has signed a two-year, $2.4 million contract with the Ottawa Senators, team GM Bryan Murray announced on Wednesday.

Foligno, 22, had nine goals and 17 assists for the Sens last season, missing 20 games due to injury.

The native of Buffalo has 32 goals and 35 assists in 187 career NHL games.

Foligno was selected 28th overall by Ottawa in the first round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

The team remained busy as they also re-signed forward Cody Bass to a one-year, two-way contract that would see the 23-year old earn $70,000 at the AHL level and $500,000 in the NHL.

Bass spent the entire 2009-10 season with Binghampton of the AHL, scoring five goals and adding six assists in 57 games.  In 33 career games with the Senators, the Owen Sound, Ontario native has two goals and two assists.
