Espn's Pierre LeBrun talked to Sidney Crosby’s father on March 11, 2011 and there was no truth to Bob McCown’s reports that Crosby’s family was trying to get him to retire.
There still no timetable on a possible return. “Not at all,” Troy Crosby, from his Halifax, Nova Scotia, home, told ESPN. “We’re just trying to get him healthy again. However long that takes, that’s how long it’s going to take.”
Sidney Crosby has been symptom free for a couple days and skated today. He’s still day-to-day. Standard rehab protocol usually calls for 2 to 3 weeks before playing after being out 2 1/2 months.
