Sergei Kostitsyn Resigns with Nashville

The Nashville Predators on Friday agreed to terms with restricted free agent forward Sergei Kostitsyn on a one-year contract worth $2.5 million.

Kostitsyn led Nashville in goals with 23 and tied Martin Erat for the team lead in points with 50 while appearing in 77 games last season, his first as a Predator after the club acquired him from Montreal.

A native of Belarus, Kostitsyn's goal output in 2010-11 was just one shy of the number he accumulated in his first three seasons in the NHL.

The 24-year-old has also compiled 71 assists to go with his 47 goals in 232 career games with the Canadiens and Predators.
