Andre Deveaux Suspended 3 Games

New York Rangers forward Andre Deveaux has been suspended three games for an illegal hit to the head on Florida Panthers forward Tomas Fleischmann on Wednesday.

Deveaux was given a five-minute major for the intentional hit to the head plus a match penalty for attempt to injure. Fleischmann left the game to get checked out after the hit but he eventually returned to action.

The 27-year-old Deveaux has one assist and 29 penalty minutes in nine games this season. He has never drawn an NHL suspension before.
