Andy Sutton Signs with Anaheim

Andy Sutton is taking his defensive expertise to Anaheim, but had to take a big pay cut to do it.

The 6-foot-6 blueliner, who was acquired by the Senators from the New York Islanders at the trade deadline last season, signed a two-year contract with the Ducks Monday. He'll make $2 million next season and $2.25 million in 2011-12. Sutton made $3.5 million last year.

The 35-year-old Sutton was a solid addition the Senators' blue line, but the club simply couldn't find room to keep him under the salary cap.

Sutton was second in the NHL with 204 blocked shots last season.
