Ryan Getzlaf Injured with Nasal Sinus Fractures

Anaheim Ducks forward Ryan Getzlaf has been placed on injured reserve after a CT scan showed multiple nasal sinus fractures in his face.

Getzlaf took a puck to the forehead during Anaheim's 3-1 win in Phoenix on Tuesday night.

He will undergo additional tests with a specialist on Friday to determine further treatment and to estimate how long Getzlaf might be out of the Ducks' lineup.

The move to place Getzlaf on injured reserve means that at the very least he will miss games against Philadelphia on Friday and Chicago on Sunday.

In 40 games this season, Getzlaf has 13 goals and 24 assists, including 10 points in his last 10 games.
