Alexei Ponikarovsky Placed on Injured Reserve

The Los Angeles Kings placed Alexei Ponikarovsky on injured reserve Tuesday with an upper-body injury.

Ponikarovsky suffered the injury on November 6 during a Kings victory over Nashville. His move to IR is retroactive to November 7.

In 13 games this season, Ponikarovsky has two goals and two assists.

To replace him on the active roster, Los Angeles recalled forward Dwight King from Manchester of the AHL.

In other Kings' news, the team has assigned forward Brayden Schenn to Manchester for a two-week conditioning assignment.
