The Phoenix Coyotes have placed center Martin Hanzal on injured reserve after he suffered a lower-body injury during Sunday's loss in Anaheim.

Hanzal, who registered 11 goals and 22 assists in 81 contests for the Coyotes last season, is expected to be out 1-2 weeks.

In a corresponding move, the Coyotes recalled center Andrew Ebbett from San Antonio of the American Hockey League. He had four assists in five games with the Rampage this season.
