Jonathan Bernier Trade Rumours - Not Traded

There have been some trade discussions between the New Jersey Devils and Los Angeles Kings about goalie Jonathan Bernier.

Scouts from both teams have been attending games. With Martin Brodeur on the final year of his contract, the Devils are seeking his replacement and feel Bernier is the goalie.

What will it take for a trade to happen? The Kings are seeking a top 6 forward for Bernier as Dustin Penner has not worked out for the Kings.

A trade is not imminent, but the Devils are trying hard to get Bernier. The Kings are trying to shed some salary and have let teams know Dustin Penner and Dustin Brown are available for a trade.
