Ray Whitney Trade Rumors

Teams have been contacting the Phoenix Coyotes about the availability of forward Ray Whitney.

Ray Whitney leads the Coyotes with 51 points this season. He is in the last year of his contract ($3 million per year), but has a modified no-movement clause, meaning he can submit a eight-team trade list.

The Kings are one of the teams very interested in Whitney, and he has talked with his buddy Justin Williams of the LA Kings.

"I (met) my good friend Justin Williams (of the L.A. Kings) and his beautiful wife for dinner in Manhattan Beach (this week) to shoot the bull a little bit and reminisce about the old days."
