Toronto Maple Leaf trade rumors

The Latest Toronto Maple Leaf trade rumors....

 

There are a couple of trade rumors going around that Brian Burke will trade the Leafs top 5 pick.

The first rumor is Burke will trade the number 5 pick with players and prospects for Rick Nash. The other rumor going around is Burke will trade Luke Schenn, 2012 2nd round draft pick and the #5 pick to get the 1st overall pick and draft Nail Yakupov

Nash wants to play in Toronto and Burke will try and make a trade for Nash at the 2012 Entry draft.

If the Leafs cannot make a trade for Nash they will try and trade for James van Riemsdyk.

Brian Burke's main target in the off-season will be Zach Parise. With Parise becoming a UFA on July 1st and it appears he will NOT re-sign with the NJ Devils, the leading teams to land him are the Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes and Minnesota Wild.

Nash is for all intense and purposes a fading star . He couldn't help Columbus to a play off spot and he won't help the Leafs much either . Parise would be a great addition though expensive to get .
Nail Yakupov is at best 1yr away from NHL duties and not all that great , he is certainly no shoe in for a franchise player and sadly the best this years draft has to offer in forwards .

No idea why people anquish over ANY one Leaf or another that they would not trade/release. After all, the other 29 General Managers looked at this dung heap at the trade deadline and said, "no thanks". If that value went up between the trade dealine and end of season, it had to have had something to do with any given player's golf score. It starts and ends with Burke (the big mouth buffoon) and nothing will improve until he drags his obese arse away from the trough

I think trading Schenn and a 2nd round pick and a player from the Marlies could be enough to get Yakupov.

But not sure what player from the Marlies but think any would do the trick

Earth to fellow Leaf fans.... Parise is not going to come to toronto... Leafs have NO cap space to sign anybody.... Parise has also gone on record saying Toronto is not a place of interest for him. Nash lands here before Parise, and even Nash is a long shot, but atleast really wants to be here.

I agree. I love Nash, but for the money, it's just not worth it. I'm sure Toronto can get Parise for less money than Nash. Toronto don't need to give up the farm to get Parise too.

more trade rumors . i dont care anymore of this kind of bs i heard all kinds of rumors about Brian Burke's trades bs its only talk and nothing will happen dont beleive he is doing anything more bs plus much more bs thats all this team is what we get and i could care less about what Burke is going to do he makes me sick just promise sht and bs so in one word dont blame me for saying i told you so at the end of the day its buisness as usual fans pay for nothing and all the fairytale storys think all Maple leaf fans are sick of managements bs and next year if you think you heard booing and lets go blue jays at this years game waite and see we are going to start cheering for the other teams that are going to play the leafs next year at least we are going to cheer for a winner so Burke and saff and management do what ever you want wich is nothing so who cares and you know if they win a g bunch of smucks

I agreee with you on this one. everyone thinks that Nash can solve all but that is not true either but he is a good player but need to think reality

I think using the word "shit" is not correct. The team is decent and well they need to play their way out of the funk. Like Burke, I like this team so far and cannot wait to see what the summer brings us. So, live and learn as the core we have is not a waste of time. Maybe they are just a player or two for a nice strong play off run. At least Burke did not thrown the entire in away for just a couple of veteran players.

IF all else, Wilson might be heading out the door maybe and if so would be nice to see what Dallas Eakins can do as he knows all these players very very well.
