Rick Nash Trade Rumors - Not traded

The Columbus Blue Jackets have been contacting teams to get a feel what they could get in return for Rick Nash.

Nash is signed with Columbus till 2017-2018 with a cap hit of $7.8 million/year. Nash will be 27 this June. His cap hit is a lot for a team to take on for a former two time 40 goal scorer. His highest point total in the NHL is 79 points.

NHL teams WILL pay the premium price for a NHL sniper. And one team that has contacted the Columbus Blue Jackets about Nash is the NY Rangers.

The Blue Jackets are only seeing what they could get for Nash it does not mean that want to dump his salary and trade him. If Nash actually had a play-making center to play with him, he could be a 50 goal 90 point player.

Stay tuned as the Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Avalanche and LA Kings would make offers for Nash if he does become available.
