Andrew Ladd Trade Rumors

Andrew Ladd and the Atlanta Thrashers continue to talk contract. Both sides are “on the same page”, but Ladd been more focused on trying to help the Thrashers get into the playoffs than on the contract.

Ladd currently makes $2.35 million/year. Ladd currently has 27 goals and 28 assists this year and will be looking for a raise to about 3.5 million/year on a 3 year contract.

Atlanta might not be willing to offer Ladd $3.5 million a year as they are on a strict budget and may take him to arbitration like they did Clarke MacArthur. The other option is to trade him in the off season, where Atlanta would get a great return for a 30 goal scorer.
