Ville Leino Trade Rumors

Ville Leino will be a UFA on July 1st. He is what you call a late bloomer. He is 27 years old and had his breakout year in the 2010 playoffs. This year he put up 19 goals and 34 assists for 53 points and a plus 14.

Leino currently makes $800,000 and will be looking for a significant raise. The Flyers already have over $56 million of salary for the 2011- 2012 NHL season and most likely will not be able to afford him.

Leino will be looking for a 3 year deal at $2.5 to $3 million / year. Leino has some good size at 6'1" and 190 pounds.

Look for the Carolina Hurricanes, NY Islanders and Minnesota Wild to make offers to Leino on July 1st.
