Joni Pitkanen Trade Rumors

It appears the Carolina Hurricanes will be unable to re-sign Joni Pitkanen and will lose him to unrestricted free agency.

Joni Pitkanen would look good in a Detroit Red Wings jersey, but they may not have the cap space to sign him right now. The Red Wings still have to find out what Nikolas Lidstrom is going to do.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have the money to give Pitkanen and may try to sign him on July 1st. The Edmonton Oilers are alo very interested in Pitkanen and may offer him a contract July 1st also.

Yeah right Detroit has tons of money to sign Joni Pitkanen they still have 17.5 million left on the cap and I still believe that Ken Holland will persue him or Zach Bogosian just my thought!!
