Cam Barker Trade Rumors

Defenseman Cam Barker will be a UFA after next season and could be looking something in the $4 -$5 million range.

Barker (25) will make $3.08 million next year, and if bought out, he’d cost $375,000 against the cap next year, $541,667 the year after. The Wild will try and trade Barker at the 2011 NHL Entry draft before they attempt a buyout to free up salary.

Fetcher will be speaking with Barkers’ agent, in the near future.

Teams interested in Barker are the New Jersey Devils, Detroit Red Wings and Colorado Avalanche.
